Malevolent Frost Spirit

Wendigo

These spirits often show up in stories of the far North. The Viking clans have many tales of entire villages laid low by one Frost Ghoul, a person possessed by these malignant spirits. It is believed that in the winter these spirits move south of the Arctic with the cold winds during especially cold winters. Once there is a possession, the spirit continues to hop bodies until it is driven off for good back to the North.

Appearance: The ghouls appear much as they did in life, though they have ragged hair, abhorrent hygiene, and bluish white skin. They also seem to be surrounded by an aura of cold air. The skin color and aura disappear when the ghoul dies and the spirit flees. The spirit appears as an abrupt storm of ice and cold winds.
